Reese Witherspoon Opens Up About Divorce

Known for keeping her personal life just that, personal, actress Reese Witherspoon is finally opening up about her divorce to Entertainment Weekly. Although the separation from former husband Ryan Phillippe was difficult, the actress was able to maintain a positive attitude throughout the process, saying "I don't feel bad about any of the things I've gone through, whether it's divorce or breakups or anything like that, because that's all part of the life journey, and I have those experiences like anyone else."  She credits these difficult times in her life for her creativity as well.

Phillippe was not spared from pain associated with the breakup, commenting this past June that he had started to reconcile his feelings about the marriage and subsequent divorce. "I still have sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce," he said "but how beneficial is it to keep hanging onto those feelings?" He now hopes to become a better father, boyfriend and, one day, a husband again.

Two children are a result of Witherspoon and Phillippe's marriage: 11-year-old Ava and 7-year-old Deacon.
