Former Bassist Charged with Domestic Violence

While he once gained fame as the bassist for a popular rock band, one musician has gained new fame as a domestic violence suspect.

Members of the police department in Los Angeles, California were called to the home of the 39-year-old former bassist when they received reports of a serious fight. When they arrived at the scene, the musician refused to let his girlfriend leave the house even though she was attempting to move out at the time.

After a five-hour standoff with the police, the musician finally released his captive and surrendered himself to officers. A complete search of his home revealed a serious collection of guns as well as methamphetamine and cocaine.

The musician has since been charged with felony domestic violence, as well as two counts of possession of a controlled substance, obstructing a peace office and one misdemeanor count of resisting.
