Father of Celebrity Accused of Domestic Abuse

The father of a once-popular young celebrity pleaded no contest to the multiple charges against him.

Earlier this year the father's ex-girlfriend claimed that he attacked her several times. The 29-year-old filed charges against him that were convincing enough to get him arrested. Now, several months later, the 51-year-old stood up in a Florida court to hear his sentencing. Those that were present to hear the results were shocked at the leniency he received.

Rather than jail time, the father was given two years' probation, mandatory participation in a domestic-violence intervention program and four months in a residential treatment facility. It should go without saying that he was informed to stay far away from his ex-girlfriend. While several judges have told him the same thing, time will tell if he can stay away from his former love for long.
