Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Split

Even though their fans are shocked by their divorce, sources close to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz say that there is little drama involved in the split. The two singers appear to be approaching their divorce as calmly as possible without the usual histrionics that often accompany Hollywood divorces.

Right now their main priority is being good parents to their 2-year-old son Bronx. They have both raved about the other's parenting skills, making this a somewhat easy transition for everyone involved. Those close to the pair say that their respective careers have been a primary reason behind the split. This was especially true when Bronx was born, prompting Simpson to wean herself away from the business while Wentz continued to tour.

Yet one source told TMZ that the divorce was really Ashlee's decision as "It's really all about Pete's erratic behavior."
