Christina Aguilera Decides to Discuss Divorce
It seems that the past year has been especially difficult for singer/actress Christina Aguilera, and her troubles appear to begin when her marriage ended.
Opening up to W magazine this week, Aguilera discussed her divorce from husband of five years, Jordan Bratman. Although the two began their marriage strong, Aguilera commented that, "At one point or another, we were both not angels. It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood." The singer then spoke about not wanting to bring up their child, son Max, in a "tension-filled home."
In an attempt to revitalize her career and spirits during the divorce, Aguilera released a new album, Bionic, and starred in a movie, Burlesque. Both opened to mixed, if not poor, reviews, not making the emotional transition for Aguilera any easier. However, it was during that time that Aguilera met her new boyfriend, Matt Rutler, whom she was seen with constantly out and about.
