David Foley in Trouble for Delinquent Child Support
Dave Foley of "Kids in the Hall" fame, will be making a return to stand-up comedy but not in his beloved Toronto, as he would probably be arrested if he attempted to return to Canada.
Foley, 48, has a large child support debt that has accrued in Ontario to the amount of more than half a million dollars. This number is growing steadily at a rate of $17,000 per month and will not stop until he makes a court appearance.
In a recent appearance on Marc Maron's WTF podcast Foley discussed his failed marriage to Toronto writer Tabatha Southey that ended while he was still on "NewsRadio." Since then he has neglected to try and reduce his child support payments to reflect more accurately his current income. He went on to say that "My income has dropped in the last 10 years, as anyone call tell from the number of sh*tty movies I have been in."
Four years ago Superior Justice Nancy Backhouse denied his motion to vary his payments.
