Lawrence Taylor Wants His Child Support Payments Reduced

Two famous parents are fighting over child support in court this week, with one attempting to raise payments while the other wants to reduce them.

Lawrence Taylor of Giants fame has recently pleaded guilty to charges related to felony statutory rape, but is back in court asking for reduced child support payments. His ex-wife, Ebony Washington, is asking for an increase in payments as their 13-year-old daughter, Erielle, is a chronic sufferer of Crohn's disease.

In a recent interview with the Washington Post Taylor said that he simply couldn't afford the payments of $456 per week as his income is generated solely on his celebrity status and that is slowly waning. In addition to his current legal problems in Rockland County and not having any special skills other than his athleticism, Taylor says he cannot generate the income necessary to make the payments.

Erielle is one of seven children born to different women. According to Washington the two had a deal that when his other children had grown older and less financially-dependent then his payments to her would increase.
