Pete Wentz Hopes to Obtain Child Custody

In response to his wife's recent divorce filing, Pete Wentz has also been busy filing for joint-custody of their 2-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli.

Citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split from Ashlee Simpson, Wentz is asking for joint legal and physical custody of Bronx. In her own divorce filing Simpson too cited irreconcilable differences but asked for primary physical custody of their son. In addition to only giving him visitation rights Simpson is asking Wentz for spousal support and for her lawyer's fees. Simpson also plans on having her last name legally changed back to Ashlee Nicole Simpson.

Simpson, a singer and actress, and Wentz, a musician, were married in a private ceremony at the Simpson family home in 2008. Their marriage seemed fine, even great during the early years when Wentz told People Magazine that they wanted more children, that "we want to be able to have a soccer team."
