Michael Douglas Paying for Success
Although he enjoyed major success with his new movie in the theaters, Michael Douglas is now paying for it in court.
His ex-wife, Diandra Douglas, is suing the actor for his role in the movie "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps". She claims that a clause in their divorce states that she should receive a portion of profits for any money made by Douglas during their marriage. Douglas' legal team is not concerned with her claims. Instead, they say Diandra "should be ashamed of herself." She started this lawsuit against Douglas while he was struggling with cancer, bringing him more grief during an already difficult period.
Diandra has already received $51 million from her divorce from Douglas. In response to reporters, she added that: "I've always behaved as a lady, and I always intend to do so in the future...I think the facts speak for themselves." The case has already been thrown out of court once last November, when the judge stated that it could not be considered in the state of California. Her lawyers, however, are not done fighting.
