Husband Suspected of Murdering Wife

One man is now under suspicion as he was arrested fleeing the country just days after his wife was found murdered.

According to police reports, the 24-year-old man was detained before he could board a plane to his native Colombia. He was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and murder. His 23-year-old wife was found stabbed to death at a relative's home in East Forest. Police now believe that he tied up his wife, stabbed her multiple times and left her to die. He then took a flight to Orlando, Florida where he attempted to board the international flight.

Even though he paid with cash, the authorities were able to track him down before the plane took off. Thanks to a quick scan of his passport, police were able to detain him until the arresting officers could arrive. Only time will tell whether or not the man is truly responsible for the death of his estranged wife.
