Father Arrested for Child Endangerment

One man appeared to have lost his mind when he threw his own crying son overboard last week in Newport Harbor.
When authorities arrived on the scene, they discovered that the man had been accompanied by his 7-year-old son and his girlfriend. The three got into an argument, at which point the 35-year-old father picked up his son and threw him over the side of the sightseeing cruise boat. While speaking with the father, police officers smelled alcohol on his breath, which only made the situation worse for everyone involved.
Luckily there were several people who witnessed the event and jumped in to save the young boy, who was not a strong swimmer. The father was arrested for resisting arrest and child endangerment. This incident only adds to his legal struggles, as he has already been fighting with his ex-wife regarding child support payments that he cannot make due to unemployment.
