Study Says Falling Out of Love Leads to Divorce

A new study released in the United Kingdom this month suggests that extramarital fairs are not the leading cause of divorce anymore.
In fact, the study found that couples blamed "falling out of love" as the number one reason for seeking a divorce. Of the 101 family lawyers interviewed for the study, the majority of their clients had told about growing apart from their partners more often than extramarital affairs. However, that isn't to say that cheating doesn't comprise a significant portion of divorces.
Some other reasons listed for divorce in the study included financial burdens, physical abuse, emotional abuse, partner experiencing a mid-life crisis or acting out in unreasonable ways. One of the researchers in the study believes that the decrease in couples divorcing due to extramarital affairs may have something to do with celebrities. Since many celebrities are now opting to stay together even after one has been unfaithful, the researcher asserts that the public may follow suit.
