At Claery & Hammond, LLP, we are proud to say that 2016 has been a very good year for our community efforts. This year, we continued our philanthropic pursuit to even higher levels than we possibly could have imagined.
So far, we have donated thousands of dollars in scholarship funds to the University of California Santa Cruz (UC Santa Cruz Merit Scholarship), the University of Maryland’s Honor’s College Gift Fund, and to the Peregrine Project, an independent school dedicated to enhancing children’s capacity to learn, think and do through a child-centered curriculum.
We have also provided thousands of dollars to a philanthropic organization in San Diego, California.

University of Santa Cruz:
UC Santa Cruz is a widely-respected public research university, where private support has made a significant impact on the school’s educational programs and research. Because of generous donor support, UC Santa Cruz has been able to obtain some of the best students and faculty, it’s allowed UC Santa Cruz to fund high-impact research, and enhance its stellar academic programs.

University of Maryland Honors College Gift Fund:
The Honors College is a diverse community comprised of the University of Maryland’s highest achieving undergraduates. Recognizing the students’ academic excellence, the Honors College provides unparalleled opportunities for learning and discovery.
The Honors College is a nationally acclaimed and highly selective program that welcomes 1,000 undergraduates annually into one of its seven learning programs. Donor support allows the university to recruit some of the top students in the nation with competitive scholarships so it can further enhance advanced students with innovative learning programs.

Peregrine Project:
Peregrine School is a non-profit organization that relies on generous support and donations so it can continue maintaining the highest level of education and learning. Peregrine serves children throughout the Sacramento Valley from preschool through the 6th grade.
With two campuses in Davis, California, Peregrine’s mission is to educate children to become critical thinkers and problem solvers. The school utilizes the latest research on child development to incorporate project-based programs that emphasize on the arts, outdoor education, natural sciences, and social and environmental responsibility.
